People Power Data Project

People power movements have become a common strategy for toppling dictators. But the odds of success today hover around 30%. What strategies and tactics should protesters pursue to maximize their chances?

The People Power Data Project seeks to answer these questions by collecting data on protester tactics in all people power movements since the French Revolution. The project is run by Professor Sharan Grewal and is funded by William & Mary. Meet the team, see what variables we are recording, and read our initial findings on the People Power blog.
